LYCEE GENERAL AND TECHNOLOGIQUE VOILLAUME is one of the biggest high schools in France with 2200 students between the ages of 15 and years old/
The school gives vocational education in mechanical, electrotechnical, IT, sales, accounting and management fields.We have a difficult social context (Name: Sensitive area). We are one of the high schools to benefit from particular state aid in terms of the number of additional teachers and financial and material resources.
We have students of all types coming from various nationalities and from immagration.The BTS CRSA section (automated system realization design) will be fully involved and part of the BTS CPI. (industrial product design) We have designed and built industrial machines for the private sector for 40 years with students as part of their graduation projects.
All these machines must use PLCs which will be at the heart of the project. We work with professional CAD tools such as solidworks, Catia (3Dexperience) or Fusion 360 and onshape if needed. We work with PLCs of the range schneider (Zelio, twido, tsx37, M340 and somachine) and Codesys (Somachine & Beckhoff) language. We are involved in some mechatronics project based on PLC but also arduino or raspberry. We realize 100% machines using 3D machine but also using conventional CNC machines for example, laser cutting. We do not have a 5-axis robot, but a lot of automated machines.
We work in cooperation and partnership with engineering schools in the mines of Paris and Supméca, which allows us to have significant experience in mechatronics. From the collaboration we have with the industrial companies we try to meet a great level of expertise. We contribute to the realization of innovative machine for their needs. All this helps us to follow technological progress and respond to a sector that innovates all the time.
Philippe Faul who is the training manager of BTS CRSA section will be in charge of running the project in our school. In case of leaving his post in the future, the school administration will post another experienced vocational teacher to continue the project activities.
LYCEE GENERAL ET TECHNOLOGIQUE VOILLAUME is aiming to develop its participation in Erasmus+ projects, improve international skills both for the students and teachers, share its experience and good applications in the field of industrial automated systems and learn about the education systems, technological teaching and learning approaches, technological and digital systems in partner schools.
